Mark Littmann is the author of four award-winning books and many articles for the general public about astronomy. He coordinates the School of Journalism and Electronic Media’s Science Communication Program and teaches courses in writing about science, technology, and medicine; environmental and nature writing; science writing as literature; and magazine writing. As time permits, he also teaches introductory astronomy for the Department of Physics and Astronomy. His most recent major work is a play about Caroline Herschel, the first woman to be a professional astronomer.
