The Benefits Administration Office of the State of Tennessee contracted with Secova, Inc., to verify the eligibility of all dependents currently participating in the state’s health and dental insurance plans.
The deadline to verify the eligibility of your dependents for health and dental benefits is fast approaching. To keep benefits for your eligible dependents, please make sure you submit the information and requested documents by Friday, Sept. 4, 2009.
If you remove an ineligible dependent by Sept. 4, no questions will be asked and no further actions will be taken. The state will not require repayment of employer-contributed premiums, repayment of paid medical bills or seek further disciplinary action. This is a one-time grace period.
If you have any questions, call the Secova Hotline at 1-877-793-3589. The call center is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and the calls are confidential.
It is very important that Secova hears from you by phone, fax or mail by the Sept. 4 deadline. Their fax is electronic so you won’t get a busy signal or have to wait to be connected. There are also two Web sites that have good information. Go to http://tennessee.gov/finance/ins/ins.html for Frequently Asked Questions, a project overview and a list of required documents, or go to https://verify.secova.com/TN if you want to verify your dependents online.
If you need help compiling your documentation to send to Secova or need access to a fax machine, please visit the University-Wide Administration Payroll Office located in P115 Andy Holt Tower. In addition to your documents, bring the verification notice you received in the mail from Secova.
