Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek and the UT Commission for Women are sponsoring two outstanding UT Knoxville faculty members to attend the 2009 Summer Institute at Bryn Mawr College.

Joan Heminway from the College of Law and Cynthia Peterson from the College of Arts and Sciences will attend the institute, a month-long residential program that presents an intensive leadership and management development curriculum for women faculty and administrators from across the U.S.

Each year the Office of the Chancellor and the UT Commission for Women select one more more faculty members or administrators who have a proven record of professional growth and responsibility and a keen interest in campus administration and the challenges of growing a university rich in international and intercultural diversity.
