Summer camps – which range from athletics, like soccer and basketball, to the arts, like theater and design — are fun, educational and provide kids with a safe environment to express their creativity and explore their talents.

Here is a list of camps that UT offers for people to enjoy.

4-H Electric Camp

Location: University of Tennessee, Knoxville

*Must be enrolled in 4-H. This fee includes the cost of meals, lodging, field trips, insurance, program, etc. Transportation fees are covered by members of the Tennessee Electric Cooperative Association.

4-H Camp Explore Summer Environmental Camp
July 20-24
Grades: 4-6
Location: Clyde Austin 4-H Center, Greenville, TN
Cost: $250, Early Bird Price: $225
*Camp is open statewide to the first 180 students who send in their reservation, so don’t delay. Nonrefundable deposit of $25 required to reserve your spot. Send in your full payment before July 1 and pay only $225. Transportation is the responsibility of individual participants.

Architecture and Design

Design Matters Camp
June 21-27
Grades: 10-12
Cost: $900
*Cost includes materials, equipment and computers; on-campus housing and meal tickets to campus dining; field trip admission tickets; transportation to and from off-campus sites; and walking tours of downtown Knoxville and the campus. Full and partial camp scholarships, which many participants rely on in order to participate, are available.

Early Learning Center

All Camps:
Grades: 1-4
Camp hours: 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Drop-off begins daily at 7:30 a.m., and pickup ends at 5:30 p.m.
Location: The Early Learning Center, 1206 White Ave., on UT Knoxville campus
Cost: $185 per week
*”Summer Fun & Games,” is $135 and “Lights! Camera! Action!” is $370
Registration: $50, nonrefundable
*This registration fee does not count toward camp tuition, but it does include a camp T-shirt.

Early-bird discount: Sign up for the full 10-week package no later than June 1 and receive a $300 discount off camp costs.
Sibling discount: Siblings of a full-price camp participant receive a 10 percent discount.

Individual Skills Camp

*Resident campers will stay in an on-campus dorm and will be provided three buffet-style meals courtesy of Campus Dining. Commuting campers will be served lunch and dinner only. Registration begins at 1 p.m. on June 7, with camp starting promptly at 4 p.m.
(Due to a scheduling conflict, Thompson Boling Arena will not available for camp activities on June 10. It will be used all other camp days.)

Shooting Camp

*Resident campers will stay one night in an on-campus dorm supervised by Tennessee Camp staff. Camp registration will begin at 10 a.m. on June 26 with camp activities starting at 12:30 p.m. Camp will run from 8:30 a.m. until noon on June 27.
