KNOXVILLE – Novice and advanced grant-seekers at nonprofit and governmental agencies are invited to a grant-writing workshop March 23-27. The Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is sponsoring the workshop, which will be presented by The Grantsmanship Center.
The Grantsmanship Center, located in Los Angeles, is the world’s oldest and largest fund development program training organization. Since 1972 The Grantsmanship Center has trained more than 110,000 staff members at nonprofit and government agencies around the world. The program is a hands-on learning experience that covers all aspects of researching grants, writing proposals and negotiating with funding sources.
During the intensive five-day workshop, participants will learn the most widely used proposal writing format in the world. They will learn how to locate new funding sources. And, they will work in a team to prepare an actual proposal for funding.
Upon completion of the workshop, graduates receive a full year of free follow-up services, including professional proposal review and access to a comprehensive online database of foundation, corporate and government funding sources.
Tuition for the workshop and yearlong follow-up benefits is $895. A limited number of half-tuition scholarships are available for organizations with annual budgets of less than $300,000.
