KNOXVILLE – This semester, the Ready for the World initiative and the Council for Diversity and Inclusiveness will celebrate the diversity of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, by asking all students, faculty and staff “What’s Your Story?”

All members of the campus community will be invited to make one-minute videos telling the world who they are and what makes them unique.

Filming will take place Feb. 10-13. A panel of judges will select the best videos, which will be posted on the Ready for the World/”What’s Your Story?” Web site (http://www.utk.edu/readyfortheworld/story/) in March. A winner and two runners-up will be selected based upon the judges’ comments and public voting. Winners will be announced in mid-March. Cash prizes will be awarded: 1st place, $200; 2nd and 3rd places, $100 each.

“There are thousands of wonderful stories at UT Knoxville, and we want to hear as many as we can,” Vice Provost Sarah Gardial said. “The rich diversity of our student body, our faculty and staff, make UTK a truly world-class place to live and learn. We want to turn the spotlight on that diversity and celebrate it.”
