The English Language Institute will host a welcome reception on Monday, Jan. 26, for 20 Brazilian undergraduate students who will participate in a five-week institute at UT to experience and learn about the United States and its culture.
The campus community is invited to the reception, which will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. in the University Center’s executive dining room.
ELI won a $342,000 grant to host students through a program called "Study of the United States Institutes for Student Leaders." The program is administered by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in the U.S. Department of State.
Dates of the institute are Jan. 24 through Feb. 28.
