Deborah Maples, administrative specialist in the Dean of Students Office, is described by colleagues as the glue that keeps the office together.

At the front line of student contact in the office, Deborah always is available to help — listening, consoling and encouraging.

Her co-workers think of her as the "masterful blend of psychologist and mediator, skill tactician and diplomat and reassuring teacher and guide."

Deborah always goes the extra mile, not only in helping students, but also in helping her supervisors and fellow employees.

Because of her extraordinary service and dedicated attitude, Deborah has received the November Send Roses Award from UT’s Positive Recognition Committee.
