Before the Vols take on Alabama-Birmingham this Saturday, Cello Studio professor Wesley Baldwin will take on Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. in the University Center Ballroom, "Brazilian-Bach Fusion: The Music of Villa-Lobos" kicks off the 2008 Faculty Showcase season presented by UT Knoxville’s College of Arts and Sciences.

The series features top faculty members from the college engaging fans in topics from understanding the Electoral College to creating new energy sources.

Faculty Showcases are free and open to the public and begin two hours before each home football game. All sessions take place in the UC ballroom and include a 30-minute presentation, a 15-minute discussion period, light refreshments and door prizes.
