KNOXVILLE — The College of Business Administration is undergoing several administrative changes effective Friday, Aug. 1.

Ted Stank, Dove Professor of Logistics and Transportation and head of the Department of Marketing and Logistics, will become interim associate dean for academic programs, replacing Sarah Gardial, who will become UT’s vice provost for faculty affairs.

Replacing Stank and serving as interim department head of the Department of Marketing and Logistics will be Matt Myers, Nestle USA Professor of Marketing and director of the college’s Global Business Institute.

Donde Plowman, Faskerud Professor of Strategic Management, will become the interim head of the Department of Management.

Amy Cathey, director of the Executive MBA program, is now director of the college’s full-time MBA program.

Replacing Cathey as head of the Executive MBA program is Kate Atchley, director of the college’s leadership development program and faculty member in the college’s Executive MBA program.

“While there is always a sense of loss when good people leave positions that they have served so well, it is exciting to have new people in positions that they formerly have not held and to be the beneficiary of the energy that they bring,” said Jan Williams, dean of the College of Business Administration. “I am pleased with the new leadership group that will be working on behalf of the college this coming year.”
