UT Conferences will host almost 3,000 youth and adults on July 24-28 for the United Church of Christ’s National Youth Event (NYE).
The youths, ages 13-18, will be housed in Andy Holt Apartments, Humes Hall, North and South Carrick Hall, Reese Hall and Morrill Hall. Activities will be held at numerous campus venues. This includes Thompson-Boling Arena, the University Center, T-RECS and the Aquatic Center, Bailey Education Building, Humanities and Social Sciences, Alumni Memorial Building, Art and Architecture Building, the College of Nursing, Stokely Management Center, Walter’s Life Science, the HPER building, the School of Music building, and Perch Geography.
Those conducting business in the affected areas are asked to take particular caution and expect large crowds of people. High traffic is expected along Andy Holt Boulevard for most of the week, and the UC and Andy Holt parking garages will be extremely busy.
NYE provides an opportunity for the youth to gather every four years for worship, workshops, fun and fellowship.
