SmartTrips is an alternative travel program that works closely with the KAT transportation system and the university to promote alternatives to driving alone, such as bus transit, carpools, bike riding, tele-commuting and walking.
SmartTrips provides carpool ride matching and a free emergency ride home program for commuters who choose not to drive a car to work.
Using the program earns participants free products and services from various supporting local businesses (Regal Cinema, Mast General Store, Panera Bread, Tomato Head Restaurant).
