Publication Helps UT Managers Improve
The UT Business Management Guide has been produced for both new and experienced UT department heads, directors and principal investigators to familiarize them with the university’s financial operations and the fiscal responsibilities in running their departments.
Among the many topics covered are payroll/HR administration, purchasing and contracting for goods and services, IT resources, recording and depositing received funds and UT procurement cards. Originally published in 1995, the guide was extensively revised to address policy-related and procedural changes.
The guidebooks are being distributed to all UT department heads and their administrative assistants. An online version is now available at http://audit.tennessee.edu, from which future changes should be printed. Updates will be announced as the guide is revised.
