KNOXVILLE — Due to additional rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for this evening, the Aloha Oe ceremony for graduates scheduled for 6:30 p.m. today at the Torchbearer has been cancelled.
The Kickoff to Commencement event will still be held at 7 p.m. on the Pedestrian Mall. Several areas are now tented. The casual meal and Ingram Hill concert will go on as planned. Gifts for graduates also will be distributed from the site.
The program will, however, be shortened to end at 8:15 p.m. due to weather.
