Lydia Eckstein Jackson, a doctoral student in social psychology, has been awarded a three-year graduate research fellowship from the National Science Foundation worth $90,000. In addition, she will receive an education stipend of $10,500 each year.

The NSF awards are given to students based on their potential as young scientists and for intellectual merit and broader impact. Eckstein Jackson earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology at Humboldt University in Germany.

Eckstein Jackson, 28, is a native of Berlin. This is her first year at UT.
