KNOXVILLE — The press conference to outline the Convenience Voting Model pilot program, which was scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 20, has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

The University of Tennessee’s Howard H. Baker Jr. Center for Public Policy and the Knox County Election Commission have teamed up to find a more convenient way for residents to vote, with a goal of increasing voter turnout and cost efficiency of elections. The two agencies have received funding from the Pew Charitable Trusts and the state of Tennessee to design and evaluate a program to improve the voting system.
