KNOXVILLE — The BridgeView Grill at the Boathouse on the Tennessee River is now open.

The restaurant, at 900 Neyland Drive, is operated by ARAMARK, UT’s provider of dining services, and is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily for lunch. It’s open for dinner from 4-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 4-11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. It also is open for brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.

Tim VanderMeersch, ARAMARK resident district manager, said public surveys helped the company set the menu for the restaurant, ARAMARK’s first operation in Knoxville outside of its dining establishments on the UT campus.

The result of the surveys, he said, is “skillfully executed American classics in a spectacular setting.”

Signature menu items include blackened seafood fondue with Gulf shrimp and blue crab; the Boathouse salad with Bibb lettuce, tomato, red onion, bleu cheese dressing balsamic emulsion and black-eyed pea croutons; the BridgeView Grill burger, a 6-ounce sirloin burger with Applewood smoked bacon and cheese, served with steak-cut, sweet potato or Cajun dragon fries; wild Alaskan glazed salmon served with wild mushroom risotto and seasonal vegetables; and grilled chicken Shiitake pasta served with salad and tomato bisque with a puff pastry Gorgonzola crust.

For the entire menu, see www.bridgeviewgrill.com.

The BridgeView Grill is open to the public and accepts cash and all major credit cards. For the campus community, it also accepts UT VolCard, All Star, UT Diners Club and departmental charges. Gift cards are available.

The BridgeView Grill has a private room that seats 50. To reserve the room, call the restaurant at (865) 673-6574. Parking for the BridgeView Grill is located across Neyland Drive in the BridgeView (Boathouse) parking lot or by free valet service at the door during dinner time hours.
