Zorba Paster On Your Health Debuts on WUOT in July

KNOXVILLE — Not many doctors make house-calls anymore. Family physician Dr. Zorba Paster makes thousands, nationwide, each week on Zorba Paster On Your Health. From Public Radio International, the hour-long call-in radio program debuts on WUOT 91.9 FM on July 2. Zorba Paster On Your Health airs Sundays at 11 a.m.

Paster joins co-host Tom Clark to talk about what’s new in medicine, share tips for healthy living and share a low-fat “Heart-Healthy Recipe of the Week.” Sandwiched in between, Dr. Paster answers health, fitness and nutrition questions from listeners.

“WUOT’s listeners are very health- and fitness-conscious, and this show provides in-depth, reliable medical information,” said Program Director Daniel Berry. “Zorba Paster On Your Health helps put health news into perspective. Zorba and Tom have an easy rapport and irreverent sense of humor, so the show is not only informative but also fun.”

During the program, Paster focuses on illness prevention — especially through diet, exercise and lifestyle changes — as well as about treatments and cures. He encourages listeners to become informed consumers and to take an active role in dealing with their doctors and other health care providers.

Zorba Paster On Your Health is produced by Wisconsin Public Radio and distributed by Public Radio International.
