KNOXVILLE –- The mouse has it.

University of Tennessee students have selected a logo to represent Tmail, the improved e-mail system they’ll use when the fall 2006 semester begins. The winning design is a computer mouse whose cord curls into the “@” sign for the letter “a” in the word Tmail.

Tmail will offer greater functionality and speed than the current Webmail system provides, said Julie Little, interim assistant chief information officer and executive director of UT’s Educational Technologies and Innovative Technology Center.

“The conversion process will be easy,” Little said. “Students will be able to convert all of their e-mails and their address books currently in Webmail to Tmail with the click of a button.”
