KNOXVILLE — The University of Tennessee and Beaver Productions, after consultation with tour production management, announced today that the Soul2SoulII concert originally scheduled for Sunday, April 23 at Thompson-Boling Arena has been canceled due to production concerns.

“It became apparent over the last few days that the overall production of the Soul2Soul II tour and the total weight load that would be suspended from our roof fell outside of the limit that we could safely install at our facility,” said Tim Reese, Thompson-Boling Arena manager. “After extensively reviewing the situation, all parties mutually agreed that cancellation of the concert was the only viable option.

“We are disappointed that we will not be able to present this special concert at our facility, but we need to understand our limitations and ensure public safety,” Reese said.

Refunds for the concert will begin Monday, April 17. All tickets, except Fan Club tickets and Internet orders, must be returned to Thompson-Boling Arena either by mail or in person, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be no cash refunds at the arena box office.

All telephone credit card orders must be credited to the original card, and outlet ticket orders will be refunded via a University of Tennessee check and mailed to the customer. These orders will be refunded within two weeks of their return. Internet orders (including Fan Club) will automatically be refunded to the original credit card, with no need to return these tickets to the arena. Allow up to three weeks for Internet orders to be refunded.
