KNOXVILLE — The University of Tennessee College of Business Administration’s accounting programs are among the top 20 in the nation, according to rankings recently announced by Public Accounting Report. PAR is one of the leading trade publications for the accounting profession.
The master’s degree program ranks 16th and the undergraduate program ranks 17th among the 170 U.S. schools with accredited accounting programs. When ranked among public schools alone, the master’s program ranks 13th and the undergraduate program ranks 14th.
UT’s doctoral accounting program ranks in the top 25 among public universities.
“We are honored to be named again to PAR’s prestigious list and to have our programs among the top in the nation,” noted Dan Murphy, head of the college’s Department of Accounting and Information Management.
“The PAR ranking serves as a testament to our meeting the needs of all of our students,” he said.
