The event is sponsored by the University of Tennessee’s creative writing program. Admission is free.

LeClaire also is a short story writer who lectures and teaches writing and the creative process. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, Redbook, Yankee magazine, and other publications.

Dr. Marilyn Kallet, professor of creative writing, says, “Anne LeClaire writes novels the old-fashioned way: with characters we grow to care about, plots that won’t let us go, and language that is both accessible and poetry-tinged. Anne LeClaire tells a good story.”

Laurel Theater is located at the corner of 17th Street and Laurel Avenue in Knoxville. Refreshments will be served.
