The following correspondence was received today from Dr. Karen Hitchcock, president of the State University of New York at Albany:
“I am removing my name from further consideration in the University of Tennessee Presidential Search so that I might focus my attention on a number of other opportunities that are more closely aligned with my professional background and interests.
“I want to thank everyone involved in the search, especially those who visited us in Albany, and those who have personally reached out to me during the process. I wish the University of Tennessee the very best as it proceeds with this important endeavor.”
