NASHVILLE — The 19-member group that will screen applicants for the presidency of the University of Tennessee is scheduled to meet Monday, April 5.

The meeting of the Presidential Search Advisory Council is set for 8:30 a.m. CDT in Conference Room 1B of the Nashville Public Library, 615 Church St.

Under procedures approved by the UT Board of Trustees, the council will screen all applications and recommend from six to 10 individuals to the board’s Presidential Search Committee.

The council, chaired by Trustee Jim Murphy of Nashville, is comprised of trustees, faculty, students, staff and alumni.
