KNOXVILLE — A subcommittee of the University of Tennessee Presidential Search Committee has been formed to start the evaluation of search firm proposals.
The subcommittee will meet at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at the Purchasing Office, 5723 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville.
Subcommittee members are UT Trustees Andrea Loughry of Murfreesboro, who chairs the Presidential Search Committee; Bill Stokely, Knoxville; Don Stansberry, Huntsville; and Carol White, UT Student Trustee from Knoxville.
The purpose of the meeting is to begin initial evaluation of proposals from search firms to assist in the UT Presidential Search process.
Final evaluation of search firm proposals will be done by the search committee at its meeting December 11.
The Audit Committee of the UT Board of Trustees also is scheduled to meet 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, in the 4th Floor Conference Room of Andy Holt Tower.
The purpose of the meeting is approval of an audit plan, discussion of recent internal audit activity and training for the Audit Committee on UT business processes.
The audit committee was created by trustees at the board’s Oct. 10 meeting.
Audit Committee members are: Waymon Hickman, chair, of Columbia; John Pontius, Memphis; and Don Stansberry, Huntsville. Clayton McWhorter, vice chairman of the board of trustees, serves as an ex-officio member of the committee.
