KNOXVILLE — Football fans coming to campus for this Saturday’s Homecoming game between the University of Tennessee Volunteers and the Blue Devils of Duke University will notice the influx of alumni as well as our visitors from Duke.

Game time is 4:00 p.m., and gates will open at 2:00 p.m.

“Homecoming is a special time for UT alumni, faculty, staff and our current students,” Philip Scheurer, vice president of operations, said.

Even with Homecoming, the normal stadium security measures will be in place, Scheurer said.

Items that are not allowed inside the stadium cannot be stored or left at the gate, but cell phones, small radios, seat cushions and infant diaper bags accompanied by an infant are allowed.

The traditional Vol Walk starts at 1:45 p.m. from Gibbs Hall to the stadium. The Pride of the Southland marching band walks to Neyland Stadium at 2:20 p.m.

Public parking with shuttle-bus service is available at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum parking garage.

Phillip Fulmer Way from Middle Drive to Tee Martin Drive, Peyton Manning Pass, Middle and Lower drives and Estabrook Drive will be closed 30 minutes before kickoff.

After the game, traffic on 11th Street will be one-way northbound from Cumberland Avenue to Western Avenue to provide access to Interstate 40.

Comcast will televise the game on pay-per-view.
