The funeral of Sandy Jeffers, a University of Tennessee senior missing since Tuesday whose body was found Friday, will be held at 4 p.m., May 13, 2003, at Fairview Baptist Church in Scott County. The family will receive friends for visitation from 1-4 p.m.
Jeffers was to have graduated at commencement ceremonies May 10. A moment of silence was held in her memory at the Saturday morning event.
An anthropology major who was planning to attend grad school fall semester, she was a 1996 graduate of Scott High School where she was valedictorian of her senior class.
She is survived by a fiancee, brother, sisters, nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts. Her parents are both deceased.
Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville, Tennessee, is handling arrangements.
