KNOXVILLE – The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees shall meet on March 5-6 in Nashville for its regularly scheduled winter meeting.

The university is governed by a Board of Trustees made up of 24 members who meet regularly three times per year.

The University of Tennessee includes programs in Knoxville, the Health Sciences Center in Memphis, the Space Institute in Tullahoma, the Institute for Agriculture and the Institute for Public Service.

The University of Tennessee system also includes campuses in Chattanooga and Martin.

Among the agenda items will be a collaborative initiative between the University of Tennessee and Tennessee Board of Regents institutions to create a Tennessee College of Public Health.

Also at this meeting, Gov. Phil Bredesen is expected to be elected chairman of the board.
