KNOXVILLE–The Executive Committee of the University of Tennessee Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet May 9 to consider an employment contract for President Designate John W. Shumaker.
The meeting is set for 4 p.m. in the Board of Trustees’ meeting room, 800 Andy Holt Tower. James Haslam II of Knoxville chairs the executive committee. Participation by conference call also will be available.
The board elected Shumaker as UT’s 21st president on March 5. He currently is president of the University of Louisville.
