The University of Tennessee’s Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet March 5 in Nashville to consider the election of Dr. John W. Shumaker as UT’s next president.
The meeting is set for 9 a.m., CST, in the Old State Supreme Court Chamber of the State Capitol. Gov. Don Sundquist, who is chairman of the UT board, will preside.
Shumaker, currently president of the University of Louisville, announced Friday he would accept UT’s offer to become its 21st chief executive.
