Interviews with the two finalists for the University of Tennessee presidency will be broadcast on the World Wide Web and will be available by teleconference at sites on all UT campuses Feb. 27.

Dr. Carolyn Hodges, UT professor and chairperson of the Presidential Search Advisory Council, encourages students, faculty, staff, alumni and the public to participate by attending the teleconferences on campus or by logging onto the Web cast at http://helios.tns.utk.edu:8080/ramgen/encoder/psearch.rm.

The search advisory council recommended that all five campus communities be able to view the interviews live, Hodges said. The UT Board of Trustees Presidential Search Committee will conduct interviews in the Tennessee Tower state office building in Nashville.

Dr. Marlene I. Strathe, vice president for academic affairs and provost, University of Northern Colorado, will be interviewed from 12:30 to 2 p.m., CST.

A session with Dr. John W. Shumaker, president, University of Louisville, is scheduled for 3 to 4:30 p.m., CST.

Technical considerations will permit 200 viewers online at any one time. Those who cannot log on immediately should check the link periodically for site vacancies.

Campus teleconference locations are:
-Chattanooga: 212 Fletcher Bldg., 615 McCallie Ave.
-Knoxville: Ballroom, University Center and Studio B, 40 Communications Bldg.
-Martin: 209 Gooch Hall, University Street.
