KNOXVILLE — Fans attending the Citrus Bowl will have two opportunities to celebrate in Orlando with University of Tennessee alumni and friends.

The UT National Alumni Association will host a “Big Orange Bash Pep Rally and Party” on Monday, Dec. 31. A “Tennessee Tailgate Party” is planned Jan. 1 just before the 1 p.m. kickoff of the Tennessee-Michigan game in the Citrus Bowl.

The pep rally will begin at 3 p.m. at the Sheraton World Resort, 10100 International Dr., in Orlando. There is no admission charge for the pep rally. Both events will feature the UT pep band and cheerleaders.

The tailgate party, set for 10 a.m.-noon at Lorna Doone Park adjacent to the Citrus Bowl, will feature Tennessee pork BBQ. The prepaid cost is $28 for adults and $20 for children 2-14 years old. The day of the event adults will pay $35.
