KNOXVILLE — The head consultant for the University of Tennessee presidential search will visit UT campuses Sept. 25-26 for a series of community forums.

Bill Funk of Korn-Ferry International, a Dallas search firm, will visit Sept. 25 at UT Knoxville in the University Center Ballroom, and Sept. 26 at UT Chattanooga in the Hall of Fame Room at McKenzie Arena and at UT Space Institute in Tullahoma, Tennessee in the UTSI Auditorium.

The purpose of the forums is to inform local campuses and communities about the UT presidential search and give them an opportunity to provide input into the search process. The visits also will serve to introduce Funk to the UT campuses and members of the university community.

The Knoxville and Chattanooga forums will be held 10-11:30 a.m. EDT, and the Tullahoma forum will be held 2-3:30 p.m. EDT.

Dr. Carolyn Hodges, who chairs the UT presidential search team’s advisory council and heads UT Knoxville’s foreign languages department, will moderate each forum.

Following is the forum schedule:

10-10:10 a.m. — welcome and introduction of advisory council, search committee members.

10:10-10:20 a.m.– explanation of search process by Hodges, including role of advisory council and search committee, web site, plan for selection process, position advertisement, and role and introduction of search consultant.

10:20-10:45 a.m. — remarks from Funk on consultant-s role and invitation for input from audience.

10:45-11:25 a.m. — input from audience.

11:25-11:30 a.m. — closing remarks from local head of campus.
