UT Martin is expanding its testing services May 30 for both
current university students and area residents.

Dr. Sharon Robertson, interim director of UT Martin’s Office of Student
Academic Support, said the university was selected by Education Testing
Services as a Computer Based Testing (CBT) center.

She said the university was selected because of its location in an area identified as currently
underserved by the existing center network.

Besides the CLEP and GED, Robertson said UT Martin will offer the Graduate
Record Examinations (GRE), GRE Writing Assessment, Professional Assessments
for Beginning Teachers (PRAXIS I), National Board of Podiatric Medical
Examiners (NBPME), Computerized SAT (CBSAT, Talent Search), Graduate
Management Admission Test (GMAT), Test of English as a Foreign Language
(TOEFL), and the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards
(NBPTS).

Beginning May 30 the hours for testing will be as follows:

*Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.; Monday and
Tuesday, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m.; first and third Saturdays, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.;
every Saturday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., October to January; and other hours by
appointment only.
*The CLEP will be offered by appointment.
*The GED will be offered every Thursday, 7:30 a.m.- 5 p.m.

“Having this service on campus will provide a speedy access to tests
currently given at sights in other cities, saving student’s time and
energy,” Robertson said. “The office is easy to find and ready when
students are.”

Appointments can be made by calling Robertson at 901-587-7702 or 7727.
Walk-in appointments can be made at 210 Clement Hall.
