NPR Photos to be Displayed at TVA (125)

The faces that go with some of the most famous voices on National Public Radio are featured in a photography exhibit this month sponsored by WUOT-FM and Tennessee Valley Authority.

NPR Exposure, a traveling exhibit of 50 photos of popular NPR radio personalities, will be displayed March 9-19, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays, in the Tennessee Valley Authority West Tower lobby at Market Square.

Professional photographer Murray Bognovitz, while living in Knoxville and listening to NPR on WUOT, began capturing portraits of the people behind the NPR voices in 1991.

Bognovitz, who now lives in San Rafael, Calif., presents an intimate and often amusing look at NPR hosts, reporters, and commentators, including Morning Edition host Bob Edwards, newscaster Carl Kasell, and reporter Nina Totenberg.

The exhibit is part of WUOT’s 50th Anniversary commemoration. It is free and open to the public.
