Robert Bullard, Clark Atlanta University professor and environmental justice researcher, will speak Feb. 18 at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Bullard will lecture at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center Shiloh Room. The lecture, sponsored by Interdisciplinary Programs in the College of Arts and Sciences, is free and open to the public. He is scheduled to speak on environmental justice and strategies for sustainable communities.
While he is on campus Bullard will participate in two panel discussions for students and faculty, one with Connie Rains, regional environmental justice officer for the Environmental Protection Agency.
Bullard is Ware Professor of Sociology at Clark Atlanta University. He served on the Clinton Administration-s transition team for natural resources and environmental agencies. He is currently a member of the National Environmental Justice Advisory Council.
