Four public hearings on proposed contracts between the University of Tennessee and the not-for-profit corporation that will operate UT Memorial Research Center and Hospital have been scheduled for early February.

Hearings will be held in Knoxville, Morristown and LaFollette. Public comment will be heard on three proposed contracts with University Health System, which was created to operate the Knoxville research center and hospital.

Schedule for hearings:

Knoxville – 10 a.m., Feb. 8, in the Shiloh Room of the University Center, 1502 Cumberland Ave., and 6 p.m., Feb. 8, in the Main Assembly Room, City-County Bldg., 400 Main St.

LaFollette – 10 a.m., Feb. 9, LaFollette City Hall, 205 S. Tennessee Ave.

Morristown – 10 a.m., Feb. 12, Morristown Power System, 441 W. Main St.

Copies of the draft contracts will be available during regular business hours starting Feb. 1 at the UT Office of University Relations, 107 Communications Bldg. The drafts are subject to revision prior to the first meeting.
