KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet here Oct. 23, Beauchamp Brogan, UT general counsel and secretary to the board, said Thursday.

Brogan said board committees and a presidential search advisory committee will meet a day earlier, on Oct. 22.

The advisory committee meeting was called by its chair, Dr. Margaret Perry, who will lead the session with Bill Sansom, UT trustee and chair of the board’s search committee.

The board meeting begins at 9 a.m., 800 Andy Holt Tower, on campus. The advisory committee session begins at 10 a.m., Oct. 22, in the same location.

Board committees will meet on the following schedule, all on Oct. 22:
Health affairs — noon, dining rooms C and D, Thompson-Boling Arena
Academic affairs — 1:30 p.m., 800 Andy Holt Tower
Student affairs — 2:30 p.m., dining rooms C and D, Thompson-Boling Arena
Finance — 3:30 p.m., 800 Andy Holt Tower

The search advisory committee is meeting for the first time. Sansom and Perry will lead a discussion of actions the committee will take to help the board select a successor to retiring UT President Joe Johnson.
