KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Kristin Leigh Pierce, daughter of Charles “Sony” Pierce, Jr., earned the academic honor cum laude for the spring 1998 term at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Students who grade point average is 3.8 through 4.0 earn summa gum laude; those who make 3.65 though 3.79 earn magna cum laude; and those with a grade point average of 3.5 through 3.64 earn cum laude honors.
