KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Kelly Gwen Mason, daughter of Kenneth and Juliana Mason of Springfield, earned the academic honor summa cum laude for the fall 1997 term at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Students whose grade point average is 3.8 through 4.0 earn summa cum laude; those who make 3.65 through 3.79 earn magna cum laude; and those with a grade point average of 3.5 through 3.64 earn cum laude honors.
