KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Four Roane County students are recent recipients of scholarships from the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association.
The recipients:
— Donald A. Knies, P.O. Box 866, Kingston, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of Frank and JoAnn Knies.
— Joseph D. Mayton, P.O. Box 90, Oliver Springs, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship for his accomplishment at Oliver Springs High School. He is the son of James and Marlene Mayton.
— Neil D. Saunders, 801 Montvue Ave., Kingston, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Knoxville for his accomplishment at Roane County High School. He is the son of David and Jan Saunders.
— Bradley E. Stooksbury, 412 Martin Road, Rockwood, earned a $1,500 community college scholarship at UT-Knoxville. A former student at Roane State Community College, he is the son of Terry and Linda Stooksbury.
