KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Two Monroe County students are recent recipients of scholarships from the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association.
Matthew J. Gilchrist, 2920 Highway 68, Madisonville, earned a four-year $6,800 National Merit scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of James Gilchrist.
Daniele D. Miller, P.O. Box 969, Madisonville, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Knoxville for accomplishment at Sequoyah High School. She is the daughter of Mary White and Danny Miller.
