KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Twenty-nine Chattanooga area students are recent recipients of scholarships from the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association.
The recipients:
— Tonya F. Amour, 3826 Pin Oak Terrace, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Chattanooga for her accomplishment as a student at Brainerd High School. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Amour.
— Thomas Blake, 8173 Coventry Lane, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Chattanooga for his accomplishment at Ooltewah High School. He is the son of Joel L. Blake.
— Brad H. Buchanan, 8168 Richland, Hixson, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship and a four-year $6,400 National Merit scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of Gary and Peggy Buchanan.
— Benjamin D. Cowan, 714 Timberwyck Drive, Hixson, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of Lynn and Cynthia Cowan.
— Clarisa Davis, 7112 Condra, Harrison, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She is the daughter of Clarence and Patricia Davis.
— Jocelyn DeGuzman, 5844 Northshore Drive, Hixson, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She is the daughter of Jose and Blesila DeGuzman.
— Brandy A. Decker, 39 Hemlock Circle, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Knoxville for her accomplishment as a student at Lookout Valley High School. She is the daughter of Lois A. Pell.
— Lindsey Drake, 6624 White Sands Lane, Hixson, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Chattanooga for her accomplishment as a student at Soddy Daisy High School. She is the daughter of Richard V. Drake.
— Lon Eilders, 6240 Canoe Lane, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lon L. Eilders Sr.
— Suzanne Hayes, 14517 May Road, Sale Creek, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Chattanooga for her accomplishment as a student at Sale Creek High School. She is the daughter of William and Nancy Hayes.
— Laura Howard, 4223 Forest Plaza Drive, Hixson, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She is the daughter of Pauline Howard.
— Bambi Hughes, 24 Frawley Road, East Ridge, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Chattanooga for her accomplishment as a student at East Ridge High School. She is the daughter of Allyson Hughes.
— Donna E. Hutson, 907 Brynwood Terrace, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She is the daughter of Don and Anne Hutson.
— Melissa C. Kelly, 1844 Crestwood Drive, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Knoxville for her accomplishment as a student at Hixson High School. She is the daughter of Michael and Jean Kelly.
— Gayle A. Lattimore, 103 Lavonia Ave., Chattanooga, received a $1,500 community college scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She was formerly a student at Chattanooga State Technical Community College.
— Andrea Mitchell, 2817 Spicewood Lane, Ooltewah, earned a four-year $12,000 Andy Holt scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She is the daughter of Jean L. Mitchell.
— Jacob A. Noe, 9917 Hamby Road, Soddy Daisy, earned a $1,600 National Merit scholarship and a four-year $12,000 Andy Holt scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of C.H. and Patricia Noe.
— Sarah E. Parker, 8612 Surry Circle, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She is the daughter of Mike Parker.
— Michele Pascucci, 413 Thornton Ave., Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She is the daughter of Angelo and Carmen Pascucci.
— Christy Preston, 6462 Hideway Road, Ooltewah, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She is the daughter of Thomas and Jana Preston.
— Kerry L. Robinson, 5800 Muirfield Lane, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Chattanooga for her accomplishment at Central High School. She is the daughter of Marion and Cheryl Robinson.
— William A. Staszewski, 6659 Harrison Heights Drive, Harrison, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Knoxville for his accomplishment as a student at Tennessee Temple High School. He is the son of Ray and Christa Staszewski.
— Jason Steele, 3321 Angela Lane, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. He is the son of Dan Steele.
— Laura E. Stephens, 8070 Trafalgar Court, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Knoxville. She is the daughter of Jim and Carla Stephens.
— Andrew B. Stewart, 322 Roberts Mill Road, Hixson, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Knoxville. He is the son of Byron and Pat Stewart.
— Jill Strubhart, 2128 Clift Eldridge Road, Soddy Daisy, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She is the daughter of David and Janet Strubhart.
— Nathan Thiry, 8264 Tiber Road, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship at UT-Chattanooga for his accomplishment as a student at Ooltwah High School. He is the son of Andy and Trina Thiry.
— Karissa A. Walker, 409 Lowell St., Chattanooga, earned a four-year $12,000 Andy Holt scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. She is the daughter of Glenn and Deborah Walker.
— Jason L. Webb, 2407 Dougherty Lane, Chattanooga, earned a $1,500 first year scholarship at UT-Memphis. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. K. Roy Webb.
