KNOXVILLE, Tenn.– Eight Blount County students are recent recipients of scholarships from the University of Tennessee National Alumni Association.

The recipients:

 — Judson D. Brown, 1018 N. Heritage Drive, Maryville, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Knoxville. A graduate of Maryville High School, he is the son of Ralph and Kay Brown.

 — Rebecca Campbell, 2117 Chippendale Drive, Maryville, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Chattanooga. A graduate of William Blount, she is the daughter of Joel and Chris Campbell.

 — Amy L. Fielder, 4453 Wonderland Drive, Louisville, earned a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship. A graduate of William Blount, she attends UT-Knoxville and is the daughter of Larry and Diane Fielder.

 — Kevin Heinrich, 1005 N. Linden Drive, Alcoa, received a $1,500 valedictorian scholarship for his accomplishment at Maryville High. He attends UT-Knoxville and is the son of Juergen and Leandra Heinrich.

 — Melinda Krebs, 928 Stonecrest Drive, Maryville, received a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Knoxville. A graduate of Heritage High School, she is the daughter of Scott and Jeanne Krebs.

 — Leslie N. Logan, 885 Westgate Drive, Alcoa, earned a $1,500 upperclass scholarship at UT-Knoxville. She is the daughter of Wayne and Linda Logan.

 — Kathryn Ryba, 1731 Linda Lane, Maryville, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Knoxville. She is a Maryville graduate and the daughter of Robert and Paula Ryba.

 — Amy Underwood, 802 Virginia Drive, Maryville, earned a $1,500 freshman scholarship at UT-Knoxville. A William Blount graduate, she is the daughter of Anne E. Underwood.
