Dr. Joseph E. Johnson, president of the University of Tennessee, will speak at the Sept. 23 meeting of the Robertson County chapter of the UT National Alumni Association.
A 6 p.m. dinner is set at Hoss Haven, Tom Austin’s residence, Highway 431 South, Springfield. The cost is $8 per person.

A native of Vernon, Ala., he received the bachelor’s degree with honors from Birmingham-Southern College and the doctorate in higher education from UT-Knoxville.
UT National Alumni Association meetings are open to all friends and alumni of the university. The UTNAA has 110 chapters and more than 225,000 members worldwide.
