Dr. Joan Cronan, director of women’s athletics at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville, will speak at the Oct. 6 meeting of the Chicago chapter of the UT National Alumni Association.
A 6:30 p.m. reception will be followed by dinner at 7 p.m. at Banana Joe’s, 940 W. Weed Street, Chicago.
The dinner cost is $6 per person. Reservations must be made before Sept. 29 by calling Ben Cockrill, alumni leader, at (630)963-2133.
In 1973, Cronan created and directed the women’s athletics program at the College of Charleston. She came to UT-Knoxville as women’s athletics director in 1983.
