University of Tennessee alumni and friends in the Jacksonville area have scheduled the annual UT Kickoff Cook Out for Aug. 23.
Activities — volleyball, horseshoe pitching, fishing, softball and swimming — start at 2 p.m. at 15845 Duval Rd., East, in Jacksonville. Dinner is planned for 6 p.m.
Reservations should be made by Aug. 16 by calling Bill Eldridge 904-268-7765 or 904-350-6625. Dinner is $6 for adults, with children 12 and under free.
