KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Three University of Tennessee graduate school programs — pharmacy, law and business — have earned high rankings in recent national surveys by U.S. News & World Report.
Pharmacy at UT Memphis ranked 7th among programs offering doctoral degrees in the field. At UT-Knoxville, the College of Law ranked 43rd and the College of Business graduate program 49th.
UT pharmacy shared its 7th place ranking with five other universities that scored the same on the U.S. News survey.
Full 1997 surveys are scheduled to be published in March 10 editions of U.S. News and in a separate U.S. News guidebook (both available March 3).
Rankings were based on “selectivity, placement success and two measures of reputation.” In addition, the law rankings included a measure called “faculty resources” that ranged from total expenditures for students, to financial aid, to library holdings and student-faculty ratio.
