KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Registration for two lunchtime book discussions led by University of Tennessee faculty has begun at the Lawson-McGhee Library.

 Dr. Thomas Hood, UT-Knoxville professor of sociology, will lead discussions on two books by South African authors: “Kaffir Boy” by Mark Mathabane and “July’s People” by Nadine Gordimer.

 These “Lunch and Learn” programs, sponsored by the library and UT-Knoxville’s College of Arts and Sciences, will be held at noon on March 13 and April 17 in the library’s meeting room.

 Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes. Copies of the books, a reading guide and the discussions are provided to participants without charge. Anyone interested may register during regular library hours.
