UT College Of Architecture Plans Nashville Seminar

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Bill Brubaker, planner and designer of educational facilities for more than 30 years, will be the keynote speaker at a seminar sponsored by the University of Tennessee-Knoxville’s College of Architecture and Planning.

The Oct. 11 event will begin at 1 p.m. at the BellSouth Tennessee Headquarters Building, 333 Commerce St., Nashville.

“This presentation will bring together architects and clients who will outline recent innovations and opportunities in the area of (educational) design,” said Marleen Kay Davis, architecture and planning dean.

Davis will moderate a panel discussion of national educational design professionals.

The design of schools is becoming a “growth area and challenge for practicing architects” because of demographic issues, she said.

The $75 fee will include program materials, breaks and an extensive reception. A proceedings book will be mailed to all registered attendees after the meeting.

Registration information is available from UT Conferences at (423) 974-0280.
